PNG Jewellers rolls out “My PNG at My Home” service across all stores
PUNE: Marking the 106th Birth Anniversary of PNG Jewellers patriarch Late Shri Daji Kaka Gadgil, PNG Jewellers launched the ‘My PNG at My Home’ service across all store locations. This new full time service is an added vertical in the brand’s operations to reach customers in their safe environments and provide them with the PNG shopping experience. This large scale full time roll out across 35 plus stores shall be a first for the industry which has frequently tried and tested multiple variants of Omni Channel outreach.
All existing sales staff across Tier 1, 2 and 3 store locations have been extensively trained to showcase jewellery across all categories in a seamless and safe manner. The brand has put in place multiple check points and protocols to ensure that safety standards are best in class to continue fulfilling customer needs during the pandemic and even after.
With the pandemic hitting the state of Maharashtra hard, the reduction in overall footfalls and a general scare towards stepping out in public, there was a need to go out of the way and create outreach with customers to ensure that their demands are fulfilled especially for the upcoming festive and wedding season. The process would encompass the following: Each customer will now be able to call on a toll free number to book an appointment with the brand representatives for the home showcasing facility. A thorough KYC would be completed over the call. The sales team would then take the customer through a video show-case of products to ensure better understanding of requirements as well as helping them select their preferences through the vast varieties of jewellery available at the store. Post that, the brand representatives shall confirm a home visit with select jewellery pieces at the customer’s residential location to avail the customer of an opportunity to touch, feel and try the jewellery they intend to purchase. The brand has put in place stringent checks and protocols to ensure the safety of the customer, the sales personnel as well as the jewellery itself.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saurabh Gadgil, Chairman and Managing Director, PNG Jewellers said,” We are ecstatic to launch ‘My PNG at My Home’ service on our foundation day as an ode to Late Shri DajiKaka Gadgil. The bedrock of this service was laid during the extended lockdown. Having seen the difficulties being faced by customers to make a visit to the store, we had earlier launched a trial home showcasing facility. We realized that it gave our customers the much needed assurance of safety as well as the motivation to make purchases at their own comfort. It is our constant endeavor to drive up the confidence of our customers in our abilities as an organization so that we can continue to have their faith in us. We believe that in times of great uncertainty, responsible organizations should make the extra effort to comfort its customers. This facility is a perfect amalgamation of Online and offline retail. We look forward to a successful roll out and continued improvement in our services as we tackle this new way of doing business”.
