CAREER PATH

I joined the business in 1997, after my marriage. At that time, it was a wholesale business. In 2002, my father-in-law died suddenly and the family members decided to shift to the retail segment. Barring my husband, there was no one to look after the retail business. I decided to take on more responsibility by joining the business full-time.

MANAGEMENT STYLE

We are a family-owned business, and so we treat our employees like family. A collaborative management style is the key to success; our team understands our customer’s needs and provides them with the best designs. We do not compromise with quality and everything we sell is hallmarked.

BIGGEST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

I don’t consider any business opportunity that comes my way big or small. A customer who comes to my store and wants to buy a ring is equally important to me as one who wants to purchase jewellery for his wedding.

BEST BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT

We have advanced from a 1,200 sq feet showroom to a 15,000 sq feet showroom in a matter of few years.

Making Sona Chandi one of the most trusted brands in India.

My husband Rajendra Agarwal has the biggest influence on my leadership style.
