B-Town celebs dazzle in heritage jewellery from Indian brands
Celebrities embraced traditional heritage jewellery, including layered necklaces, statement earrings and emerald rings
The Indian film industry continues to be a vibrant showcase of exquisite jewellery craftsmanship, with celebrities making powerful style statements through carefully curated traditional pieces. From wedding ensembles to film promotions and photoshoots, these actors are highlighting the rich heritage of Indian jewellery design, featuring intricate kundan work, emerald settings, and iconic pieces from renowned designers.
Aditi Rao Hydari
Radiating royal elegance, Aditi Rao Hydari made a stunning statement in her unseen wedding photographs. Her meticulously crafted red silk-textured lehenga was perfectly complemented by elaborate kundan jewellery from the Sabyasachi Heritage Bridal collection. Her accessories included a heavy necklace, intricate earrings, a delicate nose ring, and an ornate headband, showcasing the pinnacle of traditional craftsmanship.
Nayanthara
As seen in the Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale’, which shows the life and wedding of the actor, Nayanthara redefined bridal magnificence with her jewellery selection from Goenka India. Her wedding ensemble featured the show-stopping Zambian Emerald Choker and the iconic Satlada – a piece comprising seven cascading lines of diamonds, rose cuts, polki, and emeralds set in a heritage design. The bridal look was completed with heritage Polki and cabochon emerald studs and an exquisite emerald and diamond maangtikka, creating a symphony of colour and craftsmanship.
Sushmita Sen
Channelling timeless sophistication, Sushmita Sen revived her iconic ‘Miss Chandani’ look from the 2004 movie ‘Main Hoon Na’ with a ruby red Ekaya Banaras saree. The true showstopper was her Panthère de Cartier brooch – a masterpiece featuring emerald eyes, onyx details, and an astounding 604 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 2.88 carats. Complementing the brooch, she chose elegant pearl drop earrings with intricate stone embellishments, demonstrating her nuanced approach to accessorising.
Kalki Koechlin
In a striking black sequinned saree by Sameer Madan, Kalki Koechlin elevated her ensemble with emerald-studded earrings from Shri Paramani Jewels by Vinay & Anshu Gupta. These statement accessories transformed her look, proving that the right jewellery can be the defining element of any outfit.
Rashmika Mandanna
For the trailer launch of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Rashmika Mandanna turned heads in a stunning burgundy Manish Malhotra saree. Her jewellery choice – a heavy handcrafted jadau necklace and matching statement earrings from Jadau Jewellery by Falguni Mehta – added layers of traditional elegance to her contemporary look.
Katrina Kaif
During a recent photo shoot for her brand Kay Beauty By Katrina, the actress showcased the timeless appeal of traditional kundan jewellery.
