At Dior’s Pre-Fall 2023 show staged at the Gateway of India in Mumbai recently, actor Sonam Kapoor stood out because she added an Indian touch to her Western look, brilliantly carrying off traditional Indian jewellery with her Dior ensemble. Kapoor styled her pink outfit from Dior with a Polki neckpiece and Basra pearl neckpiece in several layers. The traditional gold jewellery she wore was made by one of India’s oldest jewellery houses, The Gem Palace from Jaipur – including a Polki choker and matching statement ‘chandbaali’ earrings. She added a string of vintage Basra pearls from her mother Sunita Kapoor’s collection to accentuate her Dior ensemble – a pink satin shirt tucked inside a high-waisted pink satin skirt with a matching pink blazer. The actor shared a string of pictures of her look from the event on her Instagram profile, and looked stunning as usual the event.
