The versatile collection, crafted to replicate the essence of royal wedding jewellery from ancient times, comprises jadau, kundan, and par-size polki diamonds with green enamel, Russian green pearls and Colombian emeralds
New Delhi: While India is in the midst of the wedding season and bridal jewellery is in great demand across the country, New Delhi-based Multani Jewellers has launched a new bridal collection, Roshni, that is designed to render a traditional yet contemporary look to the young and modern bride and bridegroom.
The versatile collection comprises jadau, kundan and par-size polki diamonds with green enamel, Russian green pearls and Colombian emeralds, balancing heritage and royalty that will appeal to brides and grooms of today. The collection has been created, bearing in mind wedding jewellery buyers during the busiest months of November to January and beyond.
Puneet Datta Multani, Director, Multani Jewellers commented on the collection’s concept, saying, “During the time of the Maharajas in India, not only women but also men wore heavy jewellery sets and grand ornaments. We wanted to showcase how men can also wear intricately crafted and elaborate jewellery for their wedding, much like in the earlier days. So, we replicated the grandeur in Roshni.”
The collection’s exclusivity not only lies in its uniquely handcrafted designs but also in the way it is showcased to brides-to-be and their families who visit the store by appointment. For brides visiting the store through a referral, a few key pieces that aptly represent the collection are displayed before they come to a decision. While crafting the collection takes close to a month or more, many brides have also opted for the brand’s SIP scheme and can place orders a year in advance.
The price range for the pieces, weighing anywhere between 100 – 400 grams, can start from Rs 10 lakhs and go up to Rs 50 lakhs, which provides ample choice for wedding jewellery buyers.
Moreover, the collection is complemented by the brand’s association with designer brand Study by Janak, which created the bridal attire to go with a storyline-based collection for a shoot at Hotel Fairmont, Jaipur, a month ago. “The collection comprises generational pieces that can be worn today and as classic pieces forever. In today’s time where trends come and go, we wanted to maintain the heritage of handcrafted jewellery since the time of the royals,” said Multani.
