New Artistry Store is located at the same place where the Malabar Group originated three decades ago. It will have an area of 1,10,000 square feet, with five floors for gold and diamond shopping and three for parking
Malabar Gold & Diamonds is all set to open a mega jewellery showroom in Kozhikode, Kerala to offer a mega jewellery shopping experience to consumers. Incidentally, the Artistry Store, which Malabar intends to be a new global destination for gold and diamond shopping, will be located at the same place where the group originated three decades ago.
The new Malabar showroom will be located on the Bank Road in Kozhikode, covering an area of 1,10,000 square feet with five floors for shopping and three for parking. Socio-political leader Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal will formally inaugurate the store on May 7, 2023. The Malabar family members and other socio-political dignitaries will attend the inauguration.
The showroom will feature a wedding arena exclusively for the selection of ornaments for brides and an experience zone for an immersive experience on the gold and diamond manufacturing process so that customers gain knowledge about the depth, diversity and styles of traditional ornament-making and jewellery craft. An expert team will brief customers on the sourcing, value and features of different gemstones. A bespoke suit will allow customers to customize their choices while in another corner, a privilege lounge will offer personalized services by a specially trained staff. There will be a special pavilion to showcase the precious and age-old diamonds, jewellery and antiques collected from across the world. The express billing counter, collection of light-weight ornaments and multi-level parking are added features of the store.
Malabar Group Chairman M P Ahammed termed the completion of 30 years by Malabar as a momentous occasion in their journey, crediting it to their customers. “Their continued support and trust took us where we stand now as one of the biggest jewellery groups in the world. We are especially happy to set up this store at the same place where we started our humble journey. This is a significant step towards our journey to emerge as the biggest jewellery retailer in the world,” he said.
Similar Artistry Stores are already operating in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi. Work is in progress to set up 20 more such stores in other prominent cities in the country, he added.
“The Artistry Store here gives an indication of how we want to move ahead in the coming years. We wanted to give a totally different experience to customers, providing them information on design development and manufacturing. This is one of the crucial results of our continued and sustained research and development on how to elevate the shopping experience. The trust from our customers and our commitment to give back the best to them made this brand the most favourite of the people,” said O Asher, MD, Indian Operations, Malabar Gold and Diamonds.
The Group at present has showrooms in India, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the United States. It plans to expand its reach to more countries such as the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Australia, Canada, Egypt, Turkey and South Africa in the coming years, Asher added.
To celebrate 30 years of its operations, Malabar Gold has also introduced a special reward scheme for the customers. It will give a gift, the value of which will be equal to that of a 100 mg gold coin, against every purchase worth Rs 30,000. In case of diamonds, gems, precious stones and ornaments, the gift will be equal to that of a 250 mg gold coin. The offer will continue till May 31 and will also be applicable to those making advance purchase booking.
