Kalyan adds video calls in selling gold jewellery

Show the gold… Kalyan Jewellers is offering live video calling services for shoppers wanting to check the latest designs.
Dubai: Kalyan Jewellers has launched a live video calling facility for customers in the UAE. The service allows them to continue shopping for jewellery from their preferred Kalyan outlet without stepping out from their homes.
According to Ramesh Kalyanaraman, Executive Director, “We were pleasantly surprised with the response to our video calling service – a majority of consumers seem very tech-savvy and have easily adapted to this. Gold shopping continues to be a family affair.
“And this service, becomes an easy way to connect families across locations on one call. Interestingly, we have noticed a more participation and rise in interest amongst the younger generation over these Live calls, than during the traditional style of shopping.”
With the introduction of video calling, the brand aims to provide an in-store experience to customers and showcasing even minute details that gives customers the confidence to make decisions this way.
