The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) said that the local, mid-sized and small jewellers had a special role to play when it came to making regional jewellery shows a success

The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) has recognized the efforts of the 13th edition of the Gujarat Gold Jewellery Show (GGJS) 2023, co-hosted by the Gujarat Gold Jewellery Show and Gold Ornaments Wholesale Jewellers Association (GOWJA).

The Gujarat Gold Jewellery Show, one of the largest B2B jewellery exhibitions in India, commenced on October 11 and concluded on October 13, 2023. The show is a networking and business opportunity for retailers, wholesalers, and distributors as well as suppliers and manufacturers. Additionally, visitors can stay abreast of new trends, discover new products, and attend knowledge sessions at seminars and workshops taking place at the event. The show is also a major hub for displaying a wide range of innovative designs, technologies and jewellery options.

Paresh Jhurmarvala, Organiser, Gujarat Gold Jewellery Show, “The GGJS has been recognized for its contribution to the jewellery industry. As far as jewellery is concerned, there was very little impact of Gujarat on the industry, even though people have been buying jewellery from Rajkot, Ahmedabad and other places in the state. But at the national and international level, Gujarat needs more recognition. The GGJS has highlighted the smallest jewellers to the biggest brands in the national and international markets. IBJA has realized that we have done enough and more to promote them. If you look at our branding, this is a gold jewellery show and that is how we are related to the interests of IBJA.”

Surendra Mehta, National Secretary, of India Bullion and Jewellers Association said, “We have recognized them for their outstanding contribution to the jewellery industry with reference to the exhibition. There are big shows happening but we have found that the GGJS is one of the best regional shows, and such endeavours need to be encouraged and recognized because most major shows have big corporates but in the regional shows, the local, mid-sized and small jewellers have a special role to play for making these exhibitions a success.”
