For Khimji Jewellers, sponsoring the Times Power Women Odisha 2023 Awards is a nod to woman power

While acknowledging the rising influence of empowered women as role models for society, the jeweller partnered with the platform for the second time, to reinforce the brand’s spirit of inclusivity and equality
Odisha-based retailer Khimji Jewellers recently sponsored the Times Power Women Odisha 2023 Awards, which felicitates prominent women, recognising their contribution to society and the special skills they bring to the table. For the brand, the awards not only provided an opportunity to align with a platform involving a high-profile segment, one of its key customer categories, but also positioned it as an entity that strongly believes in woman power.

According to Sumeet Khimji, Director, Khimji Jewellers, the jewellery brand chose to associate with the platform to celebrate women’s achievements and showcase their success, an important marker in today’s world where many women are stepping into positions of power and authority. Along with the opportunity to present awards to and meet the power women at the event, the Times Power Women Odisha 2023 Awards gave Khimji Jewellers good mileage among the invitees. “As sponsors of the event, we were able to closely interact with the chief guests, who are legends in their own right. It helped us position ourselves as a brand that strongly believes in encouraging the rising woman power,” says Khimji.
However, Khimji adds that the brand chose not to showcase its products at the event. “We only wanted to associate with a cause we strongly believe in, and that is promoting the rising influence of empowered women,” he points out.
Well poised to serve the masses and classes, the brand found it an opportune association. These women leaders inspire the larger society and resonate with the common woman who aspires to emulate these role models.
The Times Power Women Odisha Awards seek to honour women from different walks of life, and this year’s awardees included a prominent editor, a businesswoman and a top hospital administrator, among others. The awards, a Times of India initiative, had Odisha Governor Professor Ganesh Lal as chief guest, and guests of honour included prominent bureaucrats and educationists.
