Brands celebrate Retail Employees’ Day by rewarding their superstar staff
Employees are the backbone of any organisation. Treat them with respect, encouragement and bonhomie, and they deliver beyond expectations. The jewellery industry thrives on premium hospitality and it is necessary to entertain and reward those who take care of the customers. Several jewellery brands across India celebrated the Retail Employees Day on December 12 to pamper their staff.
Kirtilals conducted a felicitation programme across all its showrooms on the day. The programme consisted of customers who were specifically invited to give the awards to excellent staff in various fields of expertise. Best performers of the year received medals from their seniors. There was also a selfie booth for the staff to click pictures with consumers. Besides a cake-cutting ceremony and a lavish lunch, Kirtilals also thanked the staff with curated videos from happy customers congratulating the staff for their unchallenged dedication.
Next up was Ratnalaya Jewellers, Patna, with their informal cake-cutting and entertainment activity. Each staff was given a packet full of goodies as a form of gratitude for their efforts. “Retail trade can’t be measured with a usual 9 to 5 job. You come in at 10 and leave when the customer is converted, no matter how late that gets. In such a taxing schedule, it is our duty to celebrate the heroes of our organisation,” said Saket Kesri, owner, Ratnalaya Jewellers. The brand is cognizant of the happiness quotient of its staff and also holds an annual beauty pageant for its staff, to boost their morale and beat workplace stress.
C Krishniah Chetty Group Of Jewellers is another brand which celebrated this occasion with full fervour. The brand has been celebrating this day since 2014 and on this year, they came up with a three-day gala programme from December 11-13. On the first day, the management welcomed employees of all departments with a stunning red carpet entry. Each department head spoke about the contributions of their employees and shared their thoughts on operational improvements. On December 12, the brand also welcomed customers in a nicely decorated showroom.
The third day had a formal dinner arrangement of all C Krishniah Chetty Group Of Jewellers employees at a luxurious facility. The evening commenced with the MD’s speech, followed by Chaitanya V Cotha, Executive Director, C Krishniah Chetty Group Of Jewellers speech, after which the guests were treated with a musical and dance performance. Later, new joinees and experienced employees united for a cake-cutting ceremony.
Such initiatives show how important it is for a brand to refuel the spirits of its employees to maintain high level of efficiency and happiness. The more the management invests in rewarding employees, the more lucrative the jewellery industry gets for emerging talents.
