With actor Sharvari Wagh as brand ambassador, Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers sets out ambitious expansion agenda
The Bollywood star expressed pride in joining the Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers family, and will be instrumental in realizing the brand’s plan to expand to 30 locations and add four more stores to the current 27 by March 2025
Mumbai: Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers, a leader in traditional Marathi jewellery since 1909, recently announced Bollywood actor Sharvari Wagh as its new brand ambassador. The announcement coincided with the inauguration of the brand’s 27th showroom at Phoenix Market City, Mumbai, where Sharvari launched the Vibha collection, a modern interpretation of the traditional Jondhale Mal design.
Expressing her pride as a Maharashtrian, Sharvari said, “It is a matter of great pride for me to be part of the Waman Hari Pethe family. The jewellers have been a trusted choice for generations in my family, providing both traditional and modern jewellery.”
Ashish Pethe, partner at Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers, emphasized the brand’s commitment to honouring tradition while embracing modernity. “We reflect Maharashtra’s cultural roots and progress. Our goal is to open four new showrooms by March 2025, with plans to expand to 30 locations,” he stated.
With a blend of tradition and modernity, Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers continues to position itself as a leading destination for gold, silver, diamonds, and Polki jewellery.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, whpjewellers.com, the e-commerce wing of Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers, secured $10 million in its inaugural funding round from a prominent Singapore-based investment firm. As the online segment continues to expand and innovate, it remains steadfast in its commitment to providing “Something Special for Everyone,” solidifying its position as a premier online jewellery destination in India.
Founder Aditya Pethe underscores the immense growth potential of India’s online jewellery market, projecting a surge from $850 million in 2019 to $3.7 billion by 2025, with a CAGR of 28%. Leveraging tailored offerings, the company aims to seize a significant share of this market, reaching out to its target clientele with the help of brand ambassador Sharvari Wagh.
