Uma Ornaments’ offerings at IIJS Premiere 2024 include trendy, budget-friendly jewellery
The collection includes a range of men’s accessories such as chains, bracelets, and button covers, alongside lightweight jewellery for women and innovative Navratan sets
Mumbai: Sumit Kamalia, founder at Uma Ornaments (CLUB 14C, JWCC), shared insights into the brand’s product line at the IIJ Premiere 2024, highlighting the distinctive features of their collection.
“Our approach this year focuses on blending trendy designs with budget-friendly options,” Kamalia explained. “We’ve introduced a range of products that are both stylish and economical, responding to current market trends and fluctuations.”
The collection includes a range of men’s accessories, such as chains, bracelets, and button covers, alongside lightweight jewellery for women and innovative Navratan sets. “Our Navratan sets are designed to be modern and fashionable while retaining traditional charm,” Kamalia added.
All pieces feature diamond-studded designs, with options that include both all-diamond and diamond-with-colour stones variations. Kamalia noted that despite recent fluctuations in gold prices as an upshot of the recently announced union budget, the focus has remained on offering trendy, everyday wear rather than high-ticket items.
Addressing market challenges, Kamalia highlighted the impact of varying gold prices and shifting consumer preferences and the need to carve out a space within the industry. “With many manufacturers focusing on heavy, high-value jewellery, we’ve chosen to cater to a different niche—casual, work-appropriate designs that are still elegant and trendy,” he said.
The Uma Ornaments booth at Jio Select Club has drawn interest from across India and beyond. “We’ve had inquiries from all regions of the country, as well as from international buyers,” Kamalia noted. “This year’s IIJ Premier has been particularly fruitful, with a mix of new and serious buyers showing interest.”
Reflecting on the event’s success, Kamalia commented, “IIJ Premier has been exceptional this year, surpassing expectations set during previous post-pandemic events. We’ve seen a strong influx of new clients and valuable leads.”
Among those raising queries about the products, the brand has seen high demand for their men’s jewellery range, including chains, bracelets, and button covers. Kamalia mentioned that these items have attracted significant interest from visitors.
