The new 6,000 sq.ft. retail outlet has dedicated floors for gold, diamond and silver jewellery, besides a bridal lounge, and its focus is on providing an inviting and customer-friendly atmosphere

This is a saga that dates back to 1947. Leaving behind a thriving business in the Bahawalnagar district in Pakistan, a jeweller family’s fourth generation moved to India and set up a small shop in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Fast-forward to 2023, and the success story of New Light Jewellers continues with new milestones achieved and a new store launch. The philosophy, though, remains the same – build a bond of trust with customers and let integrity and transparency reign supreme. The thrust is also to combine traditional family jewellery traits with progressive values while emphasizing customer service. Only, the stakes are more significant now, with a new store to helm. True to its name, ‘New Light’ is a ray of shining light to impact customers’ lives positively.

01 : This bet is bigger

The 6000 sq ft area boasts of dedicated diamond, gold and silver jewellery floors along with a well-designed bridal lounge. Besides services such as valet parking, when not browsing, there is a visitor’s lounge to unwind. The theme is uncomplicated; luxurious, with a classic touch of modern aesthetics. Plush furnishings and stylish lighting emit an upscale vibe. Hues of red and blues for displays append vibrancy to an otherwise subdued palette. The focus, though, is more on an inviting and customer-friendly atmosphere.

02: Custom-made trousseau

Bespoke bridal collections are marked by versatility and practicality for uses beyond D-day. There is something for every taste and budget to try out at the lounge.  A team of experts help design personalised pieces that sync with the customer’s style. Heavy-duty pieces and big stones include Kundan, Meenakari, gold and polkis.

03: Variegated regional heritage

Many jewellery-making techniques and customisations underline timeless pieces of cultural and historical value. Attention to detail and intricacy in designs are their forte. With the market extending to Rajasthan and Punjab, regional specials and fusions are aplenty. The accessory pool is wide to complete any modern or traditional look. Not-to-be-missed are their best-selling bangles.

04: Manufacturing finesse

When legacy precedes popularity, delivering unquestionable quality becomes a custom. Sourcing only the finest materials and working with skilled craftsmen is also a mandate. The comfort factor is further augmented with an in-house manufacturing unit. An emblem of gifted skill, some of the kaarigars have been with the house from the start.

05: Engaging experiences

Building long-term relationships is crucial, and thus innovative customer relationship management (CRM) tools are being implemented to strengthen customer connections. A series of in-store pop-up events that encourage browsing the latest collections, meeting the designers, and getting expert styling tips are in the pipeline. With all this in place, this seems like a one-stop shop for jewels!
