SGL conducts Merchandising Seminar for Jewellery Entrepreneurs in Delhi

SGL organised an interactive “Merchandising Seminar for Jewellery Entrepreneurs” for the Progressive Jewellers Association on the 22nd and 23rd of July in Delhi. Its was a joint initiative taken by SGL and the progressive jewellers association founders Mr Sanjay Kalsi, Mr Gaurav BAWA, Mr Atul Jain and Mr Puneet Dutta.

The merchandising seminar was conducted by Ms Namita Khemani, it was a comprehensive retail-centric seminar, developed by SGL education. The seminar imparted knowledge and training on different aspects of retail. It covered a broad spectrum of topics starting from merchandising, visual merchandising to inventory management, digital marketing and so on. This seminar was especially tailored to cater to the current needs of the market.

We also had on board Mr Samit Bhatta, director at The Retail Jeweller Magazine India, as a guest faculty for the seminar. He shared his insights on topics such as leadership, brand building, sales pitch and modern-day sales techniques.

SGL aims to conduct practical knowledge steered sessions which talk about the on-going requirements and synopsis of the gems and jewellery industry. SGL offers a unique set-of gemmological courses to professionals, enthusiasts and connoisseurs.

Mr Chirag Soni, co-director of SGL said – “We have been conducting gemmology courses in UK, UAE and KSA, we have now expanded our education courses in India. The Merchandising Seminar for Jewellery Entrepreneurs and RPM (Retail Product Management) course are our newly launched retail-centric courses which gives one a plethora of opportunities in the retail sector of the industry.”

Ms Shirin Bandukwalla, co-director of SGL said – “SGL education is a knowledge driven institute thus along with our gemmology courses which teach one to grade clarity, colour and cut of diamonds as well as coloured stones, we also have designed courses to improve ones proficiency about retail management, visual merchandising and the sales techniques which helps the jewellers understand their clients better and more effectively.”
