Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers brings in ‘Ramdhanu’ to cheer working women during monsoon
The brand sought to create a colourful collection resembling a rainbow, and add a splash of colour to the everyday attire of those who feel a sense of gloom due to the weather
In an endeavour to infuse joy and vibrancy into the monsoon season, Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers has unveiled its latest collection named ‘Ramdhanu’. It is inspired by the captivating hues of a rainbow, and with it, the jeweller from Tripura aims to uplift the spirits of working women during the gloomy weather of the monsoon.
Providing insights into the concept behind ‘Ramdhanu’, Rupak Saha, Director of Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, says, “In monsoon, we often feel a sense of gloom due to the weather, which makes us less inclined to go out. To counter this, we wanted to create a colourful collection resembling a rainbow, aka Ramdhanu, to bring cheer and evoke enthusiasm among working women. We want this collection to make them feel happy and confident, adding a splash of colour to their everyday attire.”
The collection showcases a diverse range of exquisitely crafted designs, catering to the preferences of modern working women. With vibrant gemstones and intricate patterns, each piece reflects the essence of the monsoon rainbow, symbolizing hope and positivity. The collection was launched under the brand’s recent monsoon scheme called ‘Barsha Mangal’. The name ‘Barsha’ derives from the Bengali word for rain, while ‘Mangal’ signifies prosperity. Saha drew inspiration from poet Kalidas’ book named ‘Barsha Mangal’ while conceptualizing the scheme. “In the Bengali calendar, the third month is Aashadh, the monsoon season. In the olden days, people associated rains with prosperity and happiness, as it was beneficial for agricultural fields. To evoke that joyful spirit, we named our scheme ‘Barsha Mangal’ after a book by Kalidas, which beautifully narrated these aspects of nature’s gifts during the rainy season,” Saha says. The Barsha Mangal initiative featured an array of attractive schemes, including daily lucky draws and mega draws, making it an enticing offer for customers, he adds.
The combination of the ‘Ramdhanu’ collection and the ‘Barsha Mangal’ initiative created a compelling proposition for customers, creating an opportune time for Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers. As the monsoon progresses, the brandremains dedicated to brightening the lives ofits customers.
