Imagine a situation when your supplies have run dry and no one is delivering food to your location. The pandemic has brought every class of the society down to their knees when it comes to availing basic services. The greatest victim has been the poor, underprivileged people who do not have the money to buy food items as their work opportunities have been halted for an indefinite period of time.
Thankfully, brands like Prince Jewellery are rising up to the larger call of societal development at such trying times. In order to help the poor people so that they do not remain empty stomach amidst a global pandemic, Prince Jewellers is providing free food to almost 100 poor people on daily basis since May.
The jeweller has planned to continue the free food distribution till the complete removal of the lockdown. They have tied up with a local restaurant for this purpose. Talking about the initiative, Princeson Jose, Chairman, Prince Jewellery said, “We strive to improve lives by showing the same care to our communities as we do to our clients. We as responsible citizens have grown up and established ourselves from this very community. Thus, it is our duty to look after them when they themselves can’t. We hope that all of us tide over this pandemic soonest.”
This is not the first instance of pandemic-related contribution by the brand. The brand chairman has also donated an amount of Rs 25 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Relief Fund to help the government combat Covid-19 infection in the state.
