Priceless Advice Brings the Moolah

Swaran Singh, owner, S P Jewellers, Ludhiana
I can never forget this customer who came to me when I was just a simple kaarigar. He advised me to make trendy jewellery that can be worn by the young people. At that time, people preferred heavy jewellery so going for trendy, light-weight stuff was a risk. But I took up the challenge and started making light-weight antique kundan jewellery. Gradually, it started getting accepted and today, it’s become a rage. A 250 gm set is now made in 175 gm. The size remains big but it is light-weight. People have loved our jewellery and I owe it to this gentleman who rightly advised me. Today, he is my friend, philosopher and guide, and not just a customer.
