NAC Jewellers champions social responsibility by associating with Humanitarian Awards 2025

At the event, accomplished women from diverse backgrounds walked the ramp, adorned in the brand’s jewellery
Chennai: NAC Jewellers recently aligned itself with a property titled ‘Humanitarian Awards 2025’, curated by journalist and social activist Apsara Reddy. The awards honoured individuals from Chennai, including social activists, business leaders, and other prominent figures who have made outstanding contributions to humanitarian causes, and proved to be a natural fit for the jeweller committed to several humanitarian initiatives.
“For us, partnering with the Humanitarian Awards was a natural choice,” N. Arjun Varadaraj, Executive Director of NAC Jewellers, said. “As a brand, we always seek collaborations that align with our values, and this platform truly resonates with our commitment to giving back.”
For NAC Jewellers, being part of the event enhanced its brand presence among influential circles while reinforcing its dedication to corporate social responsibility. “This event brought together the crème de la crème of the society, and it is important for us to stand for this cause while showcasing our commitment to ethical business practices,” Varadaraj noted.
One of the highlights of the event was the fashion show, where accomplished women from diverse backgrounds walked the ramp adorned in NAC Jewellers’ creations. This unique showcase provided the brand with a platform to celebrate empowered women who have made a mark in their respective fields. “Having these inspiring women wear our jewellery adds a special dimension to the event. It is not just about visibility for us; it’s about being part of a movement that recognizes and celebrates contributions to society,” Varadaraj emphasized.
Beyond business, NAC Jewellers has actively pursued philanthropy through its own initiative, the Ananda Foundation, that is dedicated to uplifting and empowering dairy farmers across the nation. The foundation supports various social causes, making its association with the Humanitarian Awards a natural fit. “The ethos of the awards and our foundation go hand in hand—we both strive to uplift communities and create a lasting impact,” Varadaraj added.
The brand has made significant charitable contributions to the tune of Rs 50 lakh in recent times. This includes donations to the Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai and medical research foundation, Sankara Nethralaya.
The company was founded by Nathella Narayana Chetty in 1917. The business expanded under his son, Nathella Anantham Chetty, who opened a store in Parry’s Corner, Chennai in 1973. Today, NAC Jewellers has 11 stores in Chennai and an exclusive showroom in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
