Mumbai: Lab-grown diamond start-up True Diamond has successfully raised $1 million in a seed funding round, led by Titan Capital and supported by Huddle Ventures, Zeropearl Ventures, and several notable individual investors. These include Ashutosh Valani, Priyank Shah, Aashka Goradia Goble, Mamaearth founder Ghazal Alagh, Abhishek Goyal and Anmol Jain.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the team, enhance brand visibility, onboard jewellery experts and designers, and launch exclusive boutique outlets in Mumbai and Delhi NCR. The funds will also support branding and marketing efforts, as announced in a company press release.
Founded in January 2024, True Diamond specializes in sustainable, lab-grown diamond jewellery, focusing on innovation and quality. The brand offers a wide range of products, including rings, earrings, necklaces, mangalsutras, bracelets, and more, alongside customized jewellery and men’s collections. The brand currently does not have a retail outlet, with sales run fully through online channels.
True Diamond’s lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technological processes that replicate the natural diamond-growing environment. With a catalogue of 5,000 customizable designs and a customer repeat purchase rate of 1.7 times, the brand is growing, with plans to further expand its reach in the competitive jewellery market.
The brand is based out of Mumbai with Parin Shah and Darayus Mehta at the helm of affairs.
