The brand achieved record sales of 250 kg of gold and 400 carats of diamonds across three Trivandrum showrooms, without marketing expenses
Trivandrum: Bhima Jewellery, marking its 100th anniversary this year, has achieved a remarkable milestone by recording a Guinness World Record for the highest turnover in a single day in India’s jewellery sector. On this historic day, Bhima’s showrooms in Trivandrum generated an astounding ₹200 crore in sales.
The brand’s exceptional success came from the sale of over 250 kilograms of gold and 400 carats of diamonds across three showrooms in Trivandrum, with the flagship store on MG Road alone contributing approximately 160 kilograms of gold and 320 carats of diamonds. Notably, the record-breaking sales were accomplished without any marketing expenditure, during the celebrations of Bhima’s centenary.
Dr. B. Govindan, Chairman of Bhima Jewellery, credited the brand’s success to its ability to adapt to changing times while honoring its heritage. “While we cherish our heritage, we are also preparing for an exciting future,” he said. “We are planning significant expansions across India and internationally, aiming to take our legacy of purity to a global audience.”
Suhas MS, Managing Director of Bhima, expressed pride and gratitude at the achievement. “Reaching this milestone is a moment of immense pride for us. Our journey over the past 100 years has been guided by a singular focus on purity and trust, values that resonate deeply with our patrons. It is their unwavering support that has brought us to where we are today.”
Ms. Gayatri Suhas, Director of Bhima, highlighted the importance of strong customer service and product variety in the brand’s success. “A century of trust is not the end of our journey; it’s just the beginning of an even more ambitious chapter,” she said. “We are grateful to our customers, who are the real architects of this legacy, and we promise to continue upholding the values they cherish so deeply.”
This record-breaking sales achievement comes at a time when fluctuating gold prices have led consumers to invest more in gold for the future. Bhima’s ability to secure such impressive sales is a testament to the trust customers have in the brand and its long-standing values.
