Bridal Trendsetters bringing exclusive ranges to make IIJS visitors spoilt for choice

Every buyer is looking forward to IIJS 2021 for a definitive edge of inventory. Across all kinds of jewellery, for all purposes, newness is the most important factor that should define what works for the trade for the upcoming season. Keeping that in mind, reputed manufacturers, who are also the bridal trendsetters of Bengaluru this year,have given us a brief idea of their exciting offerings.

Talking to Rahul Jain of Radhika Jewelscraft, one understands that antique temple jewellery will become a strong proponent in Bengaluru, the land of temple jewellery. “There has been a highly satisfactory response from trade in jadau and temple segments. That is why we are reintroducing those segments with exceptional work on motif embellishments,” said Jain, adding that the discerning buyers from South India will be interested in this innovation.

Mohanlal Narayandas Jewellers set a high benchmark in bridal polki jewellery at JAS and at the Jaipur edit of Bridal Trendsetters 2021. For Bengaluru, the company is bringing an exclusively designed range of polki jewellery across bridal and lightweight segments. Speaking about expectations from IIJS Bengaluru, co-owner Rahul Soni said, “Bengaluru is the most prominent jewellery market in India right now. Polki is becoming a hot favourite in South Indian states. So, we believe that the new designs will impress buyers. As far as market sentiment is concerned, buyers from South India are really excited about our inventory.”

Taking aspiration a couple of notches higher is Rambhajo’s with their Victorian jewellery. Director Abhishek Gilara feels that it is time for really elegant, beautiful pieces to take the spotlight irrespective of size. “Loud and large pieces have been getting their fair share of demands. With IIJS 2021, something trendsetting and strikingly beautiful has to be presented to buyers and we are giving lightweight rose-cut jewellery with colour stones,” said Gilara. The jewellery, says the director, looks and is auction-worthy.

Another interesting take on Victorian designs is being brought out by Achal Jewels. Director Vikas Mehta said that bridal jewellery with chokers and haarams will now get a Victorian makeover for the pro-heritage demand of Bengaluru’s clients. “With 18K gold, we are giving a classic, old look to the diamonds for the heritage feel. This range serves perfectly as heirloom artefacts for the modern bride,” said Mehta.

Coming to gemstones, Gem Plaza is experimenting on mozanites, aquamarines, emeralds and rubies for a rare mix. Director Sakhil Dhaddasaid the market response at JAS was overwhelming for colour stones. “Several retail brands have been working hard to build their colour stone inventory, because the category is performing greatly in the market. So, exclusive looks in colour stones is the way to go,” said Dhadda.

Each of these manufacturers will display theirjewellery at the Bridal Trendsetters 2021, taking place on September 14, a day before IIJS 2021 starts, in Bengaluru. Expecttions are running high as a fabulous show will guide buying patterns throughout this year’s greatest B2B trade event.
