Women-led brand Jewellery House by Harshitah set up their flagship store at Guwahati City Center
The 1500 sq ft. store is inspired by stopovers at the renowned Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai and its view of the sea
Guwahati: Jewellery House by Harshitah recently inaugurated its flagship store, situated near Fancy Bazaar. The store is located at Guwahati city center and is inspired by stopovers at the renowned Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai and its view of the sea.
“During our many stays at the Oberoi hotel to prep for the store, we realized that the sea view in our room had a profound impact on our productivity. It helped us stimulate our creative energies,” said co-founder Harshitah Agarwal.
Inculcating these experiences, the brand has built a viewing gallery at their store that overlooks the Brahmaputra River and is equipped with ample parking space for a hassle-free visit.
The 1500-square-foot store excludes the pantry and karigar section integrated adjacent to it. The Karigar sections enable the brand to cater to customers who wish to repair their jewellery without inconvenience caused by in-store activities.
The mother-daughter duo led brand claims to be the first to launch heritage gold jewellery that is native to the Assamese and Marwadi cultures—the dominant cultures in the state. The brand retails gold, polki and diamond jewellery. “We, as a brand, are striving to provide a purchasing proposition for all sorts of customers. Our inclusive price point, which includes jewellery ranging from Rs 30,000 -40,000 to upwards of Rs 1 crore, relays a similar notion,” she maintained, insisting that the brand has ready stocks of value greater than Rs 1 crore for its more opulent customers.
Certified by MMTC for bullion retail, the brand deals in 999 approved handcrafted gold coins, primarily targeting corporates for the segment. “Corporates are our major clients for gold coins, which are viable gifting options as the price starts as low as Rs 950,” she explained.
Although 22-karat gold bridal jewellery remains to be the specialty of the brand, it does plan to venture into uncharted territories with its focus on lab-grown diamonds (LGDs) in order to expand their inventory.
