CSR is fast becoming a mandatory wing in the policies of luxury industry. The pandemic has given a lot of opportunity for brands to do something for the society. Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers, their collaboration with Karnataka Women Achiever’s Awards is the way ahead.

The last leg of KWAA happened in 2021, and 20 women professionals from all walks of life were felicitated. This has been the fourth year of KWAA wherein sports, professional excellence, social service, law, TV, journalism, radio, fashion and many other avenues were scanned and the luminaries spotted by a distinguished 13-member jury consisting of Dr Vishal Rao, Ms Major Aditi Mohan, Dr. Shruti C. Gowda, Shatrughan Shetty, Chaya Srivatsa, AsithaDevangi, MithunGerahalli, Saraswathi Priyandarshini, Darshan Somaiya, Dr. H.S. Ganesha Bhatta, Chef Shazia Khan, Spoorthy Vishwas, and Yogendra Singh Rathore.

The core objective has been to identify people who overcame hurdles in life and shone in their chosen fields, said Chaitanya V. Cotha, Executive director, C. Krishniah Chetty Group. “From differently abled personalities to someone who has achieved new highs in mountaineering, KWAA has always been a platform for the bravehearts. Our partnership with KWAA banks on encouraging such people who have come out of the shackles of male dominance in India,” said Cotha, adding that women have been self-sufficient in all senses to succeed, and platforms such as KWAA inspire them.

A brand identity is formed after years of persistent hard work, and CKC is reaping its benefits among industry circles and customer bases. The brand has been receiving a lot of congratulatory messages from peers and competitors because of the focus on women empowerment. This dedication has directly improved the number and gender distribution of online customers for CKC.
