Despite being a traditional heritage jewellery collection, the jewellery pieces are light in weight, with the rings starting at 7-8 grams and neckpieces ranging from 20-30 grams
Agra: Launching polki jewellery for the first time, Agra-based Lalchand Sobhraj Sons Jewellers Pvt Ltd recently unveiled their ‘Adah, With You Forever’ collection. The heritage jewellery collection, which comprises lightweight rings, necklaces, earrings, and more, is crafted in gold with syndicate polki pieces and a fusion of fine gems, tourmalines, Russian emeralds, rubies, and tanzanite.
The collection was launched during Diwali, preparing the brand to meet the demand for jewellery during the festive season as well as the wedding season.
Prateek Nagwani, Managing Director, Lalchand Sobhraj Sons Jewellers Pvt Ltd, described the collection saying, “The collection takes inspiration from the Hyderabadi Nizam’s polki collection which had fine uncut diamond pieces set in gold and studded with various precious gems. Adah comprises heritage pieces that are timeless in design. Jewellery buyers look at them as generational ornaments. Think of them as classic investments that can become part of the bride’s legacy; heirlooms she can eventually pass down.”
Despite being traditional, the jewellery pieces are light in weight, with the rings starting at 7-8 grams and neckpieces ranging from 20-30 grams. Being a luxury jewellery collection, the pieces come in a price range between Rs 1 lakh for smaller pieces and go up to almost Rs 25 lakhs.
Nagwani pointed out that Adah is being showcased to a very exclusive client base, serviced separately with a display area and a VIP area of their own inside the showroom. Often, brides-to-be also carry their bridal attire to the store and try on the outfits along with the jewellery for a complete wedding jewellery shopping experience. For this, the brand has dedicated a personal space for such clients which enables them to experiment with the complete look before they purchase the jewellery.
