Joyalukkas launches AI-Powered Onam ad celebrating Kerala’s festive spirit
The brand highlights how technology can enrich the portrayal of cultural heritage
Kerala: Joyalukkas has unveiled a new campaign that beautifully captures the essence of Onam through the innovative use of AI technology. Titled “A Symphony of Tradition and Joy,” the ad debuted on YouTube on Tuesday and quickly gained traction, racking up approximately 200,000 views within just one day.
The ad opens with stunning visuals of Kerala’s lush green paddy fields, immediately immersing viewers in the festive spirit of Onam. As the video unfolds, it showcases a vibrant tapestry of traditional celebrations, from the intricate Pookalam (flower carpet) and local art forms to the joyful Thiruvathira dance, all rendered beautifully through artificial intelligence (AI). This fusion of technology and tradition not only enhances the storytelling, but also maintains the emotional depth of the festival.
The video rendering is done seamlessly, which in turn has ensured no hiccups are to be experienced by the viewer. Such long drawn video advertisement with the aid of AI is anew as more prominent chain brands engage in crafting campaign with its use.
“We are thrilled to present a campaign that celebrates Onam while showcasing the potential of AI in recreating beautiful cultural narratives,” said Joy Alukkas, Chairman and Managing Director of Joyalukkas Group. “AI tools have enabled us to blend tradition with cutting-edge technology, honoring the festival’s spirit while resonating with contemporary audiences. The response has been overwhelmingly positive.”
With lyrical composition by Sanish T B, Joyalukkas aims to not only celebrate the festival but also highlight how technology can enrich the portrayal of cultural heritage.
