‘Jab they met in the store’

Cherry Sahni, MD, Diamond Tree, New Delhi
A few years ago, a physically challenged girl was at our store with her family. She lived in the US where she was working and was on a visit here. There was another group at the store and a young man was accompanying them. The two groups started chatting, especially the young girl and boy. They kept in touch and soon decided to get married. So, they visited our showroom to pick up the ring. Once again both sets of the family came and while buying, they decided to get engaged in the showroom. As the girl told us, ‘after all we met here for the first time’. It was an emotional moment for all of us. The girl’s mother hugged us, she was undoubtedly very happy. Since then, the mother keeps in touch, drops in once in a while.
