Istanbul: More than 1,500 brands from 16 countries exhibited their jewellery products at the 55th Istanbul Jewelry Show (IJS) held at the Istanbul Expo Center from April 17-20, 2024. The show hosted more than 30,000 visitors from 139 countries.
Compared to the show held in March 2023, IJS April 2024 saw an 8% increase in the number of international visitors. This includes an increase of 180% in the number of visitors from Far Asian countries, 68% more visitors from Northern European countries, 64% growth in visitors from Central Asian countries, 63% more participants from Southeast Asian countries, 47% more visitors from Pacific countries, 32% growth in visitors from North Asian countries and 30% more participants from Southern European countries.
The international buyer delegation programme at the 55th edition of the show allowed sector professionals and the industry’s major buyers to come together for one-to-one trade agreements and large-scale orders, and discover new markets for export products. More than 1,300 representatives of important brands of the sector were hosted as buyers at the fair.
The show’s founding partner, Şermin Cengiz, said: “The Turkish jewellery industry meets nearly 80% of its annual exports from IJS fairs that we organize twice a year. We always strive to gather more visitors with our exhibiting brands at every show. IJS was followed by more than 30,000 industry professionals for four days, and 41% of visitors came from abroad. Therefore, IJS continues its mission of contributing directly to the exports of the sector.”
Istanbul Jewelry Show is recognized as one of the top five jewellery exhibitions in the world, and as Turkey’s only specialized international jewellery exhibition. It has been bringing together important companies, brands and buyers of the jewellery industry since 1986.
