GJEPC’s ‘Jewellers for Hope’ raises funds with Kareena Kapoor Khan

Bangalore — The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) successfully hosted its ninth edition of ‘Jewellers for Hope,’ a charity event that united the jewellery and diamond industry to raise funds for noble causes. The event, supported by De Beers and the World Gold Council, featured Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan as a prominent guest. 

Kareena Kapoor Khan praised the initiative and said, “Jewellers for Hope reflects the deep compassion and generosity that define the gem and jewellery industry. It’s truly heartwarming to witness how GJEPC is shaping a brighter future for countless lives in need. Initiatives like Jewellers for Hope remind us that the gem and jewellery industry have the power to create lasting change, inspiring others to contribute and join this noble journey of hope, care, and transformation. Continue to shine in your commitment to making a difference.” 

The event, powered by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), featured a charity dinner with proceeds benefiting two NGOs: the Miam Charitable Trust and the Gem and Jewellery National Relief Foundation. Since its inception, ‘Jewellers for Hope’ has supported 14 NGOs and raised several crore rupees for various causes. 

GJEPC Chairman Vipul Shah commented, “Jewellers for Hope is an annual event where we mobilise our entire industry to raise funds for organisations dedicated to education, health, women’s empowerment, and the welfare of marginalized communities. Since 2014, this initiative has contributed crores to NGOs, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.”
