DC Jewellers promotes upcoming Indore store launch with engaging traffic awareness campaign

The jeweller has successfully generated excitement about the store and subtly publicized the brand name ahead of its entry into the city
Indore: As jewellery retailer DC Jewellers prepares to launch a new store in Indore this month, it has literally taken to the streets to create excitement around the store opening. The brand ran an innovative community engagement campaign to promote road safety while raising awareness about its upcoming store in the city. The initiative not only created a buzz before the store launch but also held up the brand’s reputation as a jeweller interested in the welfare of the community.
The campaign, which ran from February 5 to 15, focused on the importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts. In partnership with the local traffic department, DC Jewellers deployed volunteers in high-traffic areas around Indore. Volunteers distributed chocolates to individuals who followed traffic rules, while also using slogans to remind the public of safe driving practices. To further promote the new store, each slogan included the message ‘DC Jewellers is coming soon to Wayan Road’, ensuring that the community knew the exact location of the store even before its official opening.
The campaign, named the ‘DC Jewellers Traffic Awareness Programme’, quickly gained attention and support from across the city. Vikas Kataria, Director of DC Jewellers, explained, “Our goal was not just to build brand awareness but to show our commitment to the community even before the store opens. The response has been extremely positive, and we are pleased to have contributed to making Indore a safer place.”
Mohit Soni, Business Head of DC Jewellers, added, “This initiative allowed us to forge a connection with the people of Indore. It’s not just about business; it’s about being a part of the community.”
Local authorities, including the Municipal Commissioner, expressed appreciation for the campaign’s impact on traffic safety, with influencers and residents of Indore also taking to social media to praise DC Jewellers for their pro-active approach to social responsibility.
The success of the campaign was evident, with over 12,000 chocolates distributed to individuals who adhered to traffic rules. This initiative helped foster both public safety and increased brand recognition for DC Jewellers. The involvement of 42 volunteers who actively managed traffic flow and distributed chocolates ensured the campaign’s reach and effectiveness.
“This campaign allowed us to build trust and show our dedication to the community,” said Kataria. “The campaign was well-received for its positive social impact and created anticipation around our store opening.”
Indore has been a key market for DC Jewellers, with many residents travelling to the brand’s flagship store in Ratlam for jewellery purchase. Recognising the growing demand for high-quality jewellery in Indore, DC Jewellers decided to establish a presence in the city. As Kataria stated, “We’ve had many customers from Indore asking us to open a store here. Indore is a bustling city with a large jewellery market, and we believe our presence will be well-received.”
The new store will be DC Jewellers’ first outside of Ratlam, where the brand was founded in 1920, and runs its flagship store. The brand continues to uphold the legacy of its founder Dhulchand Ji Kataria, ensuring purity and transparency in every piece. The new store aims to bring these values closer to Indore’s jewellery lovers.
