WHO WORE WHAT
Aditi Rao Hydari makes a case for everyday jewellery with her Dior pearls

The timeless quality of pearl jewellery combined with Hydari’s penchant for Old Hollywood glamour makes this a winning combination
From her canary yellow ball gown at the Cannes film festival to her recent Audrey-Hepburn inspired photoshoot, Aditi Rao Hydari has always had the ability to channel Old Hollywood glamour. The key to that Old Hollywood glamour always lay in its understated jewellery, specifically pearls, which have the ability to pull together an outfit without being too flashy. Aditi Rao Hydari recently wore pearls to channel that sophisticated mystique that never goes out of style.

The actress recently shared a series of photographs of her in head-to-toe Dior. She wore a pink and grey straight cut dress from the Dioriviera collection with black mother of pearl buttons. She paired the dress with striking earrings: the Dior Tribales, known for their pink resin pearls which suspend a crystal studded Dior logo in the air.

Pearls have always been timeless, but they’re experiencing a resurgence at the moment, in part because of the Met Gala this year championing Karl Lagerfeld, who reinvented the pearl every season during his time at Chanel. A-listers like Kim Kardashian and Alia Bhatt showed up in pearl-inspired outfits. Hydari, though, proves that you don’t need to wait for fashion’s biggest night to embrace the pearl.
