With kitty party at Rohru showroom, Verma Jewellers deepens customer relationships and generates leads
The event at the jeweller’s new store was designed to foster community engagement and targeted both existing and potential clients
Rohru: Verma Jewellers recently organized a lively kitty party at its newly opened showroom in Rohru. The event was part of their customer engagement initiative aimed at strengthening the bond with both existing and potential clients. The afternoon event was not focused on sales, but on creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for the participants, which included teachers, doctors and other loyal customers.
Akshay Verma, Managing Director of Verma Jewellers, said, “The purpose of this event is not just selling but sparking customer delight and building relationships. We aim to bring the community together and engage with them at a personal level.”
The event featured various activities to entertain the guests, including a dance performance, tambola and interactive games. With over 50 attendees, the event aimed to generate footfalls at the jeweller’s new Rohru showroom, especially in the harsh winter when people tend to stay indoors. “We wanted to give people a reason to step out and spend a fun afternoon with us,” said Verma.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Verma Jewellers to engage with customers regularly. As Verma explained, the brand hosts such events weekly, inviting different community groups each time. “It’s an ongoing process where we invite people from all walks of life to engage with our brand,” he added.
In terms of customer interaction, the event also proved successful for lead generation, with many participants expressing their interest in making purchases in the coming months. “We see a 10% sales conversion from this event, but the leads we’ve gathered, which account for around 30-35%, will convert in the next six months,” mentioned Verma, who joined the family business in 2002.
Verma Jewellers, established in 1967 by the late Jwala Prasad Verma, has been a pillar of the jewellery industry in Solan. Over the years, the company expanded, with the present showroom opening in 1995.
