Tribe Amrapali’s Srinagar airport launch strengthens airport retail strategy

With the upcoming launch of its Srinagar Airport store, Tribe Amrapali plans to introduce interactive elements like AR try-ons and pop-up displays, capturing the interest of time-conscious, quality-focused travellers.
Mumbai: Jewellery brand Tribe Amrapali is set to launch a new store at Srinagar Airport in Jammu and Kashmir, continuing its successful expansion into airport retail. The brand has experienced a promising response from travellers at its existing airport outlets, which have significantly broadened its reach.
“So far, the experience has been quite rewarding,” said Akanksha Arora, CEO of Tribe Amrapali. “We have received positive feedback from travellers who appreciate our focus on quality and authenticity. These environments allow us to effectively showcase our brand story, creating an engaging shopping experience for those on the go.”
In August 2024, the brand opened its 23rd store at Pune Airport and also operates at Mumbai Airport, two locations in Hyderabad International Airport, IGI Airport in Delhi, Goa International Airport, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. The upcoming store at Srinagar Airport will further enhance its airport presence.
“We are focusing on expanding our presence at airports,” Arora noted. “These locations not only drive sales but also serve as fantastic marketing platforms for our mall stores. Travellers often notice our brand while at the airport and seek us out when they return to their cities.”
Tribe Amrapali has strategically chosen transit retail spaces for their high foot traffic and diverse customer base, catering to travellers looking for unique, culturally rich products. The brand, along with its parent company Amrapali, offers contemporary designs rooted in an experimental philosophy, focusing on silver, gold-plated silver, and fashion jewellery.
