Third edition of India Gem and Jewellery Show gets under way in Mumbai
For the first time, GJS will also have an exclusive ‘Jewellery Innovators’ pavilion comprising 12 top brands
The All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), catering to around 3,00,000 Indian jewellers and the entire value chain around them, is all set for the third edition of GJS –the India Gem & Jewellery Show – scheduled from April 7 to 10, 2023 at Bombay Exhibition Center (NESCO), Mumbai.
For the first time, GJS will also have an exclusive ‘Jewellery Innovators’ pavilion comprising 12 top brands. On the sidelines of GJS, GJC is supporting the Iconic Awards Night on April 7, and also organising GJC Nite, with top Bollywood celebrities on April 8 at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai.
GJS will comprise the top-of-the-line manufacturers and wholesalers of gems and jewellery retailers and stockists as well as dealers from all over the industry. The show will create a productive atmosphere for retailers to explore exclusive and trend-setting precious ornaments and encourage strong business relationships across the country. The GJS gains prominences it is being organized approximately two weeks before Akshaya Tritiya (which falls on April 22, 2023), the most important occasion for buying gold and silver jewellery in India.So far, more than 450 exhibitors have booked their stalls for the show.
Saiyam Mehra, Chairman, All India Gems and Jewellery Domestic Council, said, “The first two editions of the India Gem and Jewellery Show were a massive success and the whole credit for the success goes to the industry who supported us wholeheartedly. As we all are set to present the third edition – we have received positive response from the industry with our door-to-door promotion activities and road shows in multiple cities. We are confident that we will achieve the desired number and make it a grand success.”
Rajesh Rokde, Vice Chairman, GJC, said,“The significance of this expo will be ‘celebrating a 5,000-year-old industry and creating a brand new legacy’. Over 10,000 visitors are expected to visit the show. Additionally, a series of seminars have been organized for the participants to share their knowledge and drive value for the industry. For the convenience of participants, the organizers have tied up with leading five-star and basic hotels and offer complimentary lunches for visitors and exhibitors at the venue.
With the venue spreading over 20,000 sq metres, over 450+ manufacturers/whole-sellers/ dealers comprising gold, diamond, platinum, silver jewellery, couture jewellery, loose diamond and colour stones, machinery, technology, packing materials and allied products are set to display over 11 lakh latest and trend-setting designs across around 750 plus booths in the show.
