Ornate Jewels floats scheme with free replacement of diamonds under 0.05 carats, doubles sale in 3 months
KOTA: Free replacement of any element of fine jewellery sounds like a dream jewellers must not entertain, but Ornate Jewels is reaping the fruits of it. They have become the first jeweller from Kota to offer free replacement for misplaced diamonds under 0.05 carats. The exclusive offer, which started three months ago, is getting a good response from the customers.
Giving more details about the offer, Piyusha Nyati, Owner, Ornate Jewels said, “We have 70% of the existing inventory in .05 carats diamond and wanted to increase diamond jewellery sales. However, most of our existing clients were reluctant, opining that diamond jewellery cannot be worn daily, because there is a chance that tiny diamonds may get detached from the casings and get lost.”
This issue prompted the brand to promote the category under .05 carats with the scheme. This is a free replacement service and the brand is taking it as a marketing cost to popularize the scheme and attract more buyers. The jeweller has also made it a point to mention the free replacement offer on the receipts, contrary to market practices.
“We have prepared a separate bill for this scheme. The customer has to produce that bill in order to avail the offer. I don’t think any jeweller has done it in the past to write the exchange or return policy on the bill,” Piyusha added. As a result, the brand has managed to double their diamond jewellery sales within three months, confirming the brilliant response from the customers.
