IGI expressions global excellence award
Mumbai: Inviting talents from across the world, the International Gemological Institute IGI, declared its Global Excellence Awards- IGI Expressions open from the 22nd of September 2021. The one-of-its kind, global contest is a 100% online competition open for talents from across the world. From sending in the entries to judges reviewing them, the entire process will be done online.
The theme of the competition is ‘Freedom to Dream’ and participants may compete under any of the following three categories- Millennial Light Weight Jewelry, Cocktail Wear Jewelry or Bridal Wear Jewelry. Designers and students of jewelry designing may submit their creative pursuits in either Hand Sketched or Computer Aided Design format (CAD) at http://www.igi.org/expressions. Participants may send in their entries till the 22nd of October 2021.
With a highly distinguished panel of global icons as judges, the contest invokes designers to express their innermost feelings and the 6 winning designs will become a design creation in reality. Alongside their imagination becoming a reality, the winners will also receive a cash prize of $100 and international recognition across various gem and jewelry platforms.
“The IGI Expressions Award is our attempt to create an unbiased platform for jewelry designers to express their creativity and for the world to witness the power of emotions in art. With a stellar panel of judges, the participants are to take home a lot in terms of experiences, learnings and the encouragement needed to build a career in the world of jewelry designing,” said Tehmasp Printer, President & Managing Director- IGI.
The online jury round begins from the 24th of October and winners will be announced on the 28th of October 2021. Jewelry designers and students interested in participating may do so by registering at http://www.igi.org/expressions.
