Sunder Jewellers sees 25% increase in sales within six months of launching an exclusive floor for LGD

Mahender Khurana, MD of Sunder Jewellers, makes a case for growing popularity of lab-grown diamonds at the Punjab MSME Conclave in Chandigarh
Chandigarh: Mahender Khurana, Managing Director of Sunder Jewellers, which recently launched an exclusive floor for lab-grown diamonds under the Charizma brand, says he has seen a 25% increase in sales within six months of showcasing LGD to customers.
Speaking at the Punjab MSME Conclave organized by Zee News, Khurana emphasized that he offers customers a wide range of options, from affordable lab-grown diamonds to natural stones, catering to diverse preferences and budgets. Both natural and lab-grown diamonds cater to distinct customer bases, and Khurana believes both markets will continue to co-exist and grow. “There will be no overlap between the two markets, but the demand for both will continue to increase,” he stated, highlighting the growing demand for lab-grown diamonds and addressing several common misconceptions about them. Khurana explained that lab-grown diamonds are just as stunning and valuable as natural diamonds, offering the same qualities in terms of hardness, clarity and appearance.
During his speech, Khurana highlighted how lab-grown diamonds are becoming an increasingly popular choice for consumers. He explained that these diamonds are 80-90% cheaper than their natural counterparts, depending on factors such as size and colour clarity. “Customers who want larger diamonds, such as solitaires above 1 carat, can now purchase them at a more affordable price,” said Khurana, who was also honoured at the Emerging Punjab MSME Conclave for his work.
Khurana emphasized the sustainability factor of lab-grown diamonds, noting that they are made from carbon, just like natural diamonds, and exhibit the same specific gravity, thickness and colour. Further, he pointed out that the certification process for lab-grown diamonds is thorough and conducted by reputed labs, ensuring that these diamonds meet the same high standards as natural diamonds.
Founded in 1975 and based in Chandigarh, Sunder Jewellers has built a strong reputation in the Indian jewellery industry, and is known for its dedication to customer satisfaction.
