Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers gifts unique gold memento to footballer Ronaldinho at Kolkata

The handcrafted token presented to the soccer legend – a gold coin with engravings, representing the cultural heritage of Bengal – showcases the craftsmanship of Kolkata’s jewellery artisans while highlighting the State’s love for football
Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers, based in Agartala, has added another feather to its cap by associating with famed Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho Gaúcho just in time for Durga Puja. During Ronaldinho’s visit to the City of Joy, the brand felicitated him with a unique memento at the J. W. Marriot, Kolkata on October 16.
Ronaldinho was in the city on a three-day visit, during which he inaugurated the Sreebhumi Sporting Club Durga Puja Pandal. He is also associated with the Indian Football Association (IFA). Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers extended an invitation to the soccer legend and felicitated him with a gold coin with engravings, representing the cultural heritage of Bengal as well as the region’s renowned kaarigari. In this way, the brand was instrumental in blending Bengal’s love for football and the festive fervour with a celebrity association like no other.

Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers, said, “Ronaldinho is a football legend and is one of the main reasons why most people of Bengal adore and respect the sport. Having him here in Durga Puja season was truly exciting. West Bengal may not feature on the radar of Brazil football lovers, so with our humble memento, we not only wanted to showcase the artistry of our State’s jewellery, but also highlight the respect that Bengal’s football has garnered over the years,” Saha commented.
The most interesting aspect of this activity was the jewellery brand’s ability to excite its target audience of the Bengali sports-loving community, and thus boost visibility. This apart, the brand has also launched the Shaktirupini Collection in 22K gold, which glorifies the various avatars of Ma Durga with intricate artistry.
