Shining star of the company: Deepak Saini

Deepak Saini, Senior Sales Executive, Aisshpra Gems and Jewels, Gorakhpur was conferred with Aisshpra’s best achiever award in 2018, for his enormous contribution and selfless service to the organisation. Deepak Saini joined the organisation in 2003 as a junior sales executive and has been heading the diamond counter of Aisshpra since the last decade.  Recognizing his talent and drive to excel, the management at Aisshpra entrusted him the responsibility of building the – diamond category, as a whole.

Years back, when he took over the diamond counter, very few people in Gorakhpur actually had the knowledge about diamonds, let alone buy diamond jewellery. He had a big task on his hand to make a market for diamond jewellery during this nascent stage. According to Deepak, it was initially difficult for him to sell diamonds because he had he was himself not too well-versed about -diamonds and it was also a new category that the company had introduced back then. However, with his sheer dedication, hard work, and cooperation from his team, the diamond sales have grown by almost 100 percent today, which has pushed Aisshpra ahead of the other league of jewellers in Gorakhpur.

Continuing in the path of success, when Aisshpra decided to spearhead social initiatives, Deepak took the lead to suggest and organize an eye donation camp.

He coordinated with the team members from various branches and made the camp a huge success. Almost 150 employees of Aisshpra took part in the eye donation camp.

On a similar note, he also actively took part in the tree plantation drive. Not only did he manage the event, but he also asked the participants to take good care of the sapling for at least two years.

Given this idea, now before coming to work all the employees are required to water the saplings. The team has successfully planted 1,200 saplings so far and is planning to reach 5,000 by the end of this year.

Deepak by nature is a self-motivated, positive person. Even if the situation in hand is not too favourable, he is always positive. One of his most notable qualities that separate him from the rest of the staff is that during the non-rush hours when the crowd is less, he utilises that time to call-potential customers. He also calls existing customers to take their feedback. He also utilises this time and opportunity to give them information about the latest products and collections available at Aisshpra. This technique has helped him set a special rapport with the customers.

I have employees who have been working with me for the past 20-25 years but no one has the strengths and behavioural qualities like Deepak. He is always eager to learn new things.
