SGL Opens New State-of-the-Art Laboratory in New York City

SGL, The London based diamond authentication and grading institution has expanded to open a new state-of-the-art laboratory in New York City, located in the prestigious International Gem Tower. The new location will be the company’s 16th laboratory, with other worldwide presence in countries like UK, UAE, KSA and India spanning a decade.
All SGL laboratories use the same technology, methodology and protocols for detection, grading, authentication and certification. SGL’s high standard international grading system practiced across the network acts as an assurance of quality certification to their customers. The New York laboratory is launched with a range of specialized solutions which have already helped retailers, traders and manufacturers across the world overcome the logistical challenges of dealing with a laboratory.
With the New York laboratory SGL also announces the launch of its laboratory grown diamond screening instrument ‘Dia Screen’ which not just screens for CVD, HPHT, Natural Diamonds but also identifies moisannite and CZ. The ‘Dia Screen’ is currently available to buy from SGL New York and will be launched soon across the laboratories worldwide network.
