In order to pay a tribute to the doctors who are working tirelessly, Prasad Jewellers thanked the real heroes by felicitating them on the occasion of Doctor’s Day. Social media posts and WhatsApp messages were created and shared to encourage customers to upload their videos thanking doctors in general or in particular.
Giving more details, Mohit Prasad, MD of Prasad Jewellers, Rourkela, said, “From the first wave to the second wave of Covid-19, many people might have needed the help of doctors in some way or the other to beat the pandemic. So, through this initiative, we wanted to give an opportunity to the customers to thank the doctors.”
Prasad Jewellers had received a phenomenal response for the initiative, as close to 600 entries were received from its three stores at Rourkela, Sundargarhand Sambalpur in Odisha. Almost 80-85% of the entries were received through WhatsApp, and the rest came through Facebook and Instagram. Many entries referred to common doctors, for which the brand identified 150 doctors from that list and added about 60 other doctors from their side.
Prasad Jewellers felicitated 120, 45, and 50 doctors in its Rourkela, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur showrooms respectively. Doctors were felicitated with a bouquet of flowers, a ‘Thank you’ card, a hamper and lastly, an offer card having a 40% discount on the making charge of gold jewellery till the end of 2021. So far, 3-4 doctors have visited the store to avail the offer and the jeweller is hoping that this gesture will give the brand the chance to convert more customers in the medicine industry.
