Kochi – Platinum Guild International (PGI) India held its annual buyer-seller meet at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, where it unveiled a platinum alloy named ‘Inoveo Platinum’. The event brought together retailers and manufacturers to discuss industry advancements and showcase the latest in platinum jewellery design.
Benny Oeyen, Executive Head of Market Development for Platinum Group Metals at Anglo American, highlighted the significance of the new alloy, stating, “Inoveo Platinum combines the workability of white gold with the core properties of platinum, including its durability and naturally white colour.” This innovative alloy, developed using artificial intelligence and digital chemistry, aims to enhance the design and manufacturing process for platinum jewellery.
In addition to introducing Inoveo Platinum, PGI India showcased a range of new jewellery designs and shared best practices with attendees. Retailers reported a growing demand for platinum across PGI’s brands, including ‘Platinum Evara’, ‘Men of Platinum’, and ‘Platinum Love Bands’.
PGI India’s Managing Director, Vaishali Banerjee, expressed enthusiasm for the strong participation from industry stakeholders, noting, “Platinum jewellery has come a long way, and the success of such events underscores its potential in the Indian market.”
The event also featured a preview of the upcoming MS Dhoni Signature Collection, set to launch later this year with designs focused on festive and wedding themes.
PGI’s CEO, Tim Schlick, emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships, stating, “This annual event represents our commitment to empowering our partners. Our goal is to create value and drive business opportunities, especially among younger consumers.”
As the event concluded, PGI India reaffirmed its dedication to advancing the platinum jewellery industry and fostering collaboration among its partners.
