Pandit Jewellers resumes awarding staff via Employee of the Month event

Pandit Jewellers, Bulandshahr, held their ‘Employee of the Month’ event in September to lift the spirits of their staff.

Speaking about the initiative, Gaurav Pandit, Director, Pandit Jewellers, said, “The activity is not solely based on the sales done by the employees. The evaluation is based on other criteria fulfilled by each employee daily, such as uniform, entry and exit time, overall behavior with in-house colleagues and clients.” He added that the authorities assess performances by allotting ‘star marks’ on each type of work. The staff with the highest number of stars becomes the ‘Employee of the Month’.

The brand awards two ‘Employee of the Month’ every month with one star each. So far, the jeweller has given the award to at least 5-6 employees. As part of the award, the winner gets a cash prize, a badge and is felicitated with a small ceremony done inside the showroom. The name of the employees gets announced in the team meeting, which happens every month.

Pandit Jewellers had slated the programme to start from 2020, but discontinued because of Covid-19 and the ensuing lockdown. The programme restarted in September to motivate the staff and make them feel special for their tireless work amid this challenging time. “The employees are working so hard for the brand. So, they should have a feeling that they have been looked afternicely by the management,” added Pandit.
