Breaking industry norms, the jeweller spotlighted male contributions on International Men’s Day
Vadodara: N.K. Jewellers has broken new ground in the jewellery industry by hosting a distinctive event that celebrates male achievement. The ‘Gaurav’ initiative, organised to commemorate International Men’s Day, brought together distinguished gentlemen from across the city, recognising their remarkable contributions to society.
Staged in collaboration with the Aarambh Foundation, established by poet and corporate trainer Shramik Mehta, and the Awesome Club, founded by social entrepreneur Pooja Mehta, the event provided a unique platform to acknowledge men who have made meaningful impacts in their respective fields.
Dhaval Soni, Partner at N.K. Jewellers, explained the motivation behind the event: “We wanted to create something different. In an industry predominantly focused on women’s jewellery, we saw an opportunity to celebrate men’s achievements and contributions.”
The event strategically unfolded within the brand’s Jetalpur Road showroom, serving a dual purpose of community recognition and subtle brand positioning. While the primary focus remained on honouring local male role models, the venue allowed attendees to experience the brand’s offerings organically.
Soni acknowledged, “In India, jewellery celebrations typically centre around women. This event was our way of challenging that narrative and demonstrating our commitment to broader societal recognition.”
Far from being a mere marketing exercise, ‘Gaurav’ represented what Soni termed a “social responsibility activity”. The brand’s approach went beyond product promotion, aiming instead to forge deeper community connections and acknowledge the often-overlooked contributions of men across various professional domains.
The event garnered significant attention, with coverage from local media channels and a dedicated Instagram video that captured the celebration’s essence. By platforming local achievers, N.K. Jewellers has positioned itself as a forward-thinking brand that looks beyond traditional industry boundaries.
