Kavitha Gold & Diamonds’ brand film draws parallel between Fahadh Faasil’s versatile roles and its jewellery

The Kerala-based jeweller’s campaign celebrates versatility in both design and storytelling, mirroring its brand ambassador’s unconventional career choices
Palakkad: Following its collaboration with actor and film producer Fahadh Faasil earlier this year, Kavitha Gold & Diamonds has launched an innovative brand film that cleverly intertwines Faasil’s versatile career with its distinctive jewellery collections. The Palakkad-based jeweller’s latest campaign, ‘The Versatile Actor, The Versatile Jewellery’, showcases both the uniqueness of its designs and Faasil’s multi-faceted acting portfolio.
The campaign builds upon the jeweller’s groundbreaking initiative from three months ago, when it created what it claims was the industry’s first gender-neutral advertisement featuring Faasil as the male lead. The current campaign celebrates his reputation for choosing unconventional roles, drawing parallels with the brand’s commitment to creating unique and versatile jewellery designs.
According to the company’s board of directors, the brand aims to redefine the jewellery experience, much like how Faasil challenges conventional norms in cinema. This philosophy has resonated strongly with customers, who connect with both the actor’s self-made success story and the brand’s independent growth journey. “Our customers see this campaign as a reflection of the journey and ethos of Kavitha Gold & Diamonds. It perfectly gels with our positioning,” noted the directors.
The brand film, promoted across social media platforms and traditional advertising channels in Kerala, has achieved remarkable engagement. Within two weeks of its release, the campaign garnered nearly 3 million views each on Instagram and Facebook, generating substantial user engagement through Instagram comments. More significantly, the initiative has driven a 30 per cent increase in store footfall compared to the previous year, coinciding with the brand’s ‘Seasons of Merry’ Christmas promotion.
Faasil’s association with the brand deepened after he inaugurated its showroom in Sultan Bathery last May. The actor reportedly expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, describing it as ‘a very versatile jewellery experience’.
Currently, Kavitha Gold & Diamonds operates nine stores across eight locations in South India: Ottapalam, Cherpulassery, Valanchery, Pattambi, Vadakkenchery, Sultan Bathery, Mannarkkad and Pollachi, with its ninth store representing its initial presence in the same location. This strategic presence forms the foundation for its planned expansion across the southern region.
The campaign’s success demonstrates the brand’s ability to innovate whilst maintaining strong connections with both existing and potential customers, setting new benchmarks for creativity in the jewellery industry.
