Jos Alukkas partners with PFC Kerala to support India’s football World Cup dream

The partnership aims to enhance the club’s resources and efforts in grooming future football stars, with a shared vision of contributing to India’s football success on the world stage
Thrissur: Jos Alukkas has partnered with PFC Kerala, an elite-category football club focused on developing players for the World Cup. Based in Parappur, Thrissur, PFC Kerala has been training football talent since its launch in 2012. The club has produced six players who have joined professional ISL teams and contributed players to national and State teams, including the Santosh Trophy, National Junior Team and the State Sub-Junior Teams.
PFC Kerala has been tasked with training players for India’s World Cup team in 2047, one of only 32 academies in the country selected for this mission. The club’s involvement in this initiative grants it entry into the National Youth League, covering the Under-13, Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories. PFC Kerala has already achieved success, winning the Kerala Youth League Under-13 and Under-15 championships. As a residential academy, it currently trains 350 players at no cost, offering high-quality football training and earning recognition from the Kerala Football Association and an I-League membership.
The Jos Alukkas Group, led by Chairman Jos Alukkas, has long been involved in Kerala’s football scene, not only supporting the sport but also organizing major events like the Santosh Trophy. Under his leadership, the 2014 Santosh Trophy, held in Thrissur, was marked by record participation. Jos Alukkas, a former football player, has emphasized the importance of football in shaping his business approach and personal values.
“Jos Alukkas has taken up the big task of bringing Indian players to the World Cup. Chairman Jos Alukkas is a football star. We are proud to bring back his passion for football through PFC Kerala,” said C.C. Hanson, Founder of PFC Kerala.
“For the Jos Alukkas Group, football is more than just a game—it’s a mission. We are proud to support PFC Kerala in their journey to mold future stars for the World Cup,” said Group Chairman Jos Alukkas. He further added, “Football shaped me as a person and taught me valuable lessons that guide my business today. It is our duty to contribute to the nation by helping discover and nurture football talent.”
Highlighting the club’s goals, Managing Directors Varghese Alukkas, Paul J Alukkas, and John Alukkas stated, “A player’s true potential emerges through participation in competitive matches rather than intra-club games. Our priority is to ensure PFC Kerala competes in more matches to refine and showcase talent.”
Jos Alukkas recently inaugurated its 60th retail showroom, located at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. Founded in 1964, the company has expanded from a family-owned business to a significant participant in the gold, diamond and platinum jewellery market throughout India, with stores across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
