Erode: In a festive celebration leading up to Diwali, jewellery retailer Jos Alukkas awarded a car as prize for the winner of a slogan-writing contest it held at Erode in Tamil Nadu. The car was prominently displayed in front of the Jos Alukkas showroom in Erode, drawing the attention of local shoppers.
As per media reports, the brand’s Erode Regional Manager Sunilkumar, along with Manager Prasanth and Deputy Manager Vinodh highlighted that the car give-away aims to enhance the festive spirit and engage the community. Jos Alukkas is offering special promotions for the Diwali season, wherein customers will receive 50% of the silver equivalent of the amount of gold they purchase, while buyers of diamond jewellery will receive a complimentary gold coin.
Meanwhile, continuing its aggressive retail expansion strategy, Jos Alukkas launched its ninth showroom in Bengaluru, located in Marathahalli. The inauguration was attended by actor Keerthy Suresh and former minister Aravind Limbavali, along with Managing Directors Varghese Alukkas, Paul J Alukkas, and John Alukkas.
Jos Alukkas enables customers to exchange old gold for HUID-hallmarked gold jewellery and enjoy the associated benefits.
The company’s founder, Jos Alukkas, had established a small jewellery unit in Thrissur in 1964, and since then it has grown to more than 60 large-format jewellery showrooms across India, chaired by Jos Alukkas and managed by his sons Varghese Alukkas, Paul J. Alukkas, and John Alukkas. The brand is also known for pioneering the concept of “gold supermarkets” which are large-format stores featuring extensive collections of jewellery. It was one of the early Indian jewellers to launch an online store, increasing accessibility for jewellery shopping.
The Jos Alukkas Group is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Last year, the brand announced a Rs 5,500 crore investment plan to open 100 new stores across India over the next 7-8 years. It also signed on actor R. Madhavan as the brand’s pan-India ambassador.
