Gopinath Jewellers partners with Octave Music Fest to boost brand visibility, identify with a social cause

The brand plans to inaugurate a 3,000-square-foot showroom in Karimganj on January 24, as part of its expansion plan
Agartala: Gopinath Jewellers, a gold jewellery brand from Assam, was the event partner for the Octave Music Festival, a festival celebrating the culture of north-eastern India, held at the Pragati Ground, Agartala on January 11 and 12. Organized in collaboration with the Tripura AIDS Control Society and the State’s Tourism Department, Octave Music Fest was a blend of entertainment and awareness, showcasing exceptional talent while delivering a strong and impactful message: ‘Say No to Drugs’. The festival brought together music enthusiasts, artistes and visitors in a vibrant celebration of culture, while highlighting the importance of addressing social issues through creative platforms, giving Gopinath Jewellers mileage as well as the opportunity to identify with a social cause.
Despite this being the brand’s first foray into partnering a music event, it managed to utilize the opportunity effectively for visibility and engagement. “We set up a demo stall featuring our branding elements, including flags and posters, but chose not to showcase jewellery due to the large crowds and safety concerns,” shared Shukanto Banik, the brand’s representative.
To maximize visibility, Gopinath Jewellers promoted the association on its social media channels and used on-site advertising as a marketing tool. The brand also enlisted its ambassador – influencer and model Devika Daniela Debbarma – who adorned lightweight 22-carat gold jewellery, adding elegance to the occasion and drawing customers to the stall.
Partnering with a community-centric event like the Octave Music Festival, which celebrates and honours the local tribal community, strengthens the brand’s connection to local culture and fosters goodwill, explained Banik. Music festivals attract a wide array of attendees, offering an opportunity to introduce the brand to new and diverse demographics who may not have been familiar with it.
Gopinath Jewellers primarily specializes in gold and diamond jewellery with a focus on Bengali traditional designs. The brand is set to launch a new lightweight jewellery collection, targeting affordability. A silver jewellery collection is also on the anvil, aiming to cater to a broader clientele and diversify the brand’s product range.
Meanwhile, the brand is expanding its footprint in the North-east with the launch of a 3,000-square-foot showroom in Karimganj on January 24. “It will be one of the largest showrooms in the region, featuring an extensive range of diamonds, gold, and silver jewellery,” Banik added.
Gopinath Jewellers’ participation in the Octave Music Festival reflects its commitment to community engagement and rooting for a social cause. With plans for future collaborations and promotional activities, the brand is steadily enhancing its presence in the jewellery market while staying true to its roots.
Headquartered at Silchar in Assam, Gopinath Jewellers operates its flagship showroom in Silchar, and another store in Agartala, Tripura.
