Satara: The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), in partnership with the Satara District Saraf Suvarnakar Association and Satara Sarafa Association, organized a seminar to highlight the benefits of GJEPC membership and various MSME schemes. The event, which took place on June 15th, attracted over 350 participants.
The seminar featured insightful presentations by Ms. Naheed Sunke, Assistant Director of National Events at GJEPC, and Mr. Mithilesh Pandey, Director and Head of Membership at GJEPC. They detailed the advantages of IIJS membership and outlined key government policies, including the PM Vishwakarma Yojana and the GJEPC Parichay card. The discussions also covered practical aspects of exporting via courier services and the upcoming buyer-seller conference.
Attendees were introduced to several beneficial schemes and facilities for MSME manufacturers, such as the International Cooperation (IC) scheme, the Capacity Building scheme, and collateral-free loan options. A significant highlight was the presentation on expanding into foreign markets, emphasizing the potential for jewellery exports up to Rs. 10 lakhs through e-commerce platforms. The session explored various export methods, including hand carry, postal services, and e-commerce platforms like eBay.
Additional topics included detailed information on the India Jewellery Export Council (IJEX) and the Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana, aimed at enhancing employment opportunities in the sector.
The event also served as a networking platform, enabling participants to connect with industry experts and peers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the jewellery community. This seminar was part of GJEPC’s ongoing efforts to educate and support its members and the broader jewellery manufacturing community, fostering growth and international trade opportunities.
