GIA India hosts graduation ceremony for graduate diamonds diploma students
The world-class education programme through the blended format has piqued the interest among gem and jewellery aspirants
Mumbai – GIA India recently celebrated the graduation of students from its Graduate Diamonds Diploma Program (Blended) at the Mumbai campus. The ceremony included an interactive discussion led by Sriram Natarajan, Managing Director of GIA India, and Apoorva Deshingkar, Senior Director of Education and Market Development, GIA India, where students shared their experiences and insights gained from the programme.
Sriram Natarajan addressed the graduates, highlighting the evolution of education delivery methods. “Through the years, the model of education has evolved with rich eLearning materials delivered online, and now, we’ve delivered world-class diamond education through the blended format that has gained a lot of interest among gem and jewellery aspirants,” he said.
Apoorva Deshingkar echoed these sentiments, stating, “We are proud of our GIA Graduate Diamonds Diploma Program (Blended) students. The blended structure of the programme helps provide students, working professionals, as well as gem and jewellery enthusiasts with the opportunity to pursue a course with minimal disruption to their work schedules.”
Graduates shared their positive experiences and the programme’s impact on their careers. Saibal Sengupta, Senior Manager of New Product Development at Titan Company Limited and a GIA Diamonds Graduate, remarked, “The program was enriching. The course curriculum had a focused teaching approach. Studying at GIA India has been a memorable experience. With many experienced working professionals in the batch, GIA maintained the right discipline. GIA India also organised a factory visit, which was extremely fruitful in understanding the real world of diamond manufacturing.”
Another GIA Diamonds graduate named Prabhakaran K., Senior Manager of Customer Order Management at Tanishq, Titan Company Limited, said, “From meticulously crafted course materials to structured classroom sessions and insightful factory visits, every aspect was thoughtfully designed. The experienced faculty members provided detailed lectures and unwavering support throughout the learning process. As someone specialising in personalized jewellery design and delivery, this course equipped me with the knowledge and skills to better cater to customers’ needs, ultimately leading to enhanced customer satisfaction and delight.”
