From Colombian emeralds to tourmaline and rubies, colourful gemstones spotted on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet

Anushka Sharma, Natalie Portman and Michelle Yeoh, among other celebrities, stood out in coloured gemstone jewellery at the 76th Festival de Cannes
Like every year, the French Riviera was witness to the grand gala of cinema – the Festival de Cannes – where stars from across the globe walked the red carpet in stunning couture and glamorous jewellery. At the 76th edition of the festival this year, quite a few celebrities, actors, models and Internet personalities sported coloured gemstones in their jewellery, which enhanced the fashion looks, making them stand out among the rest.
Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman returned to the Cannes red carpet after eight long years in a Chopard High Jewellery necklace adorned with blue gemstones.

Michelle Yeoh
Michelle Yeoh was spotted wearing the ‘Col Emeraudes’ necklace by Boucheron. The neckpiece is embellished with 28 emerald-cut Colombian emeralds, set alongside diamonds, onyx, and rock crystal, in white gold and platinum.

Anushka Sharma
For her debut appearance on the Cannes red carpet, L’Oreal ambassador Anushka Sharma chose minimal jewellery by Chopard – white and yellow diamond earrings and the same stone on her finger.

Uma Thurman
On the Cannes 2023 red carpet, Uma Thurman chose to wear a broad ruby and diamond choker with matching earrings from Chopard.

French actor Virginie Ledoyen wore a ‘Question Mark’ necklace set with 3.59-carat emerald and round diamonds and an emerald ring — all by Boucheron.
